Happy Reading !

Book: Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

Finally, I finished this book last weekend, but  t’s only now that I had the time to post it on my blog. I love it! I like it! It brings back  that longing feeling wherein  after reading the first book  ( The Chamber of Secrets ) you hope that the next book is already available and you don’t need to wait.  Sadly, this will be the last Harry Potter series as announced by J.K. Rowling.

Yes, it’s in script format but what the heck…that’s where one’s imagination goes to work. I love the character of Scorpius Malfroy, he changed the way I think about the Malfroy’s. I love the adventures both Albus and Scorpius went thru using the Time Turner and Moaning Myrtle is back to help.

Please…Please bring the production here in Canada!

Reading Now…Spark Joy

by Marie Kondo

Does it Spark Joy?

If yes, keep it!

If not, it’t time to let go!

Do I love this book?  Yes! It’s really a feel good book making me really want to look at all my stuff, feel them and ask myself ” Does this make me happy” .  Another things I like about this book are the illustrations, it gives me a visual on how to do things.

At this point of my life (  I am not that old ) all I want is to be surrounded with things that brings happiness, positive people and good memories.

James Patterson

The more you READ the more things you KNOW. The more you LEARN the more places you GO – Dr. Seuss

Thankful for the wonderful public library here in Toronto, my passion for reading came back. I can sit all day in the library just browsing thru numerous collection of books and choosing what to borrow.

I am a James Patterson fan now. It’s a shame that I only started reading his books late last year, but as they say it’s never too late so I made a resolution this year that I would read most of his books. So far I am successful and here are some of the books that I have read. I love the way he writes his book, true that once you started reading you cannot put down the book since you want to finish it. My favourites will be Alex Cross series and NYPD Red series.

Now, I have a list of his books, including children books and I still have a long way to go to read all his books. I look forward to reading each and everyone of it.

Do check out his website: James Patterson for more information about his books, soon to be release books and more.

Do you like James Patterson too? If yes, what’s your favourite book?

Book :I Love You Forever

“I’ll love you forever,
I’ll like you for always,
as long as I’m living
my baby you’ll be.”

One of my favourite children book is I LOVE YOU FOREVER by Robert Munsch, it’s a Canadian picture book that was published in 1986. Our copy of the book was given to us by Sofia’s classmate last year and since them I myself find it reading repeatedly.

The story is so simple but so meaningful, it tells the story of a mother who loves his son so much. Mother’s love never fail, and each time before the day ends, regardless how old his son is  she will sneak up to his son’s room and sing the song. Until mommy grew old and died and the father made sure to continue the lullaby to his own daughter.

Like any mother, I can relate I have 2 girls ( one 13 and another 7 ) we have our disagreements but at the end of the day I can’t help it, I will still go to their room and make sure that they are sleeping comfortably.

I visited Robert’s website and found out that this book started with the ” I love you forever ” lullaby. Robert said  that he made that lullaby after they had two babies born dead. The song was his song to their dead babies. For a long time it in on his head and he couldn’t even sing it because every time he tried he will end up crying. More about the Robert on his website: Robert Munsch

So what’s your favourite book?
